For this project, I started by researching Comfort Furniture and understanding the business as a small, family-owned furniture store that focuses on affordable, good-quality products, working alongside the team really helped me understand the company and the visions behind it. I looked at the existing branding and with the team, we decided to keep the original logo so customers would still recognise the brand and not get confused. From there, I worked on refreshing the overall brand identity by creating a new colour palette and developing a cleaner, more consistent visual style. I experimented with different layouts, typography, and design ideas before narrowing it down to the final look. The aim was to modernise the brand while still keeping the friendly and trustworthy feel that Comfort Furniture is known for.
As part of the brand update, I also redesigned the company’s promotional leaflets. The goal was to make them look more modern and eye-catching while still keeping the information clear and easy for customers to read. I used the warm brown tone from the new colour palette to create a a clean layout that highlights the key information I was given to display, helping the business attract attention and communicate offers more effectively.
After developing the updated brand identity, I was also given the opportunity to begin working on a product catalogue for the business. This involved organising product information and images into a clear and visually appealing layout that would make it easy for customers to browse different furniture collections. I focused on keeping the design consistent with the new brand identity by using the same colours, typography, and overall style. The goal was to create a catalogue that not only showcases the products effectively but also feels professional, easy to read, and visually engaging for customers.
I also worked on the brand’s social media, creating visually appealing posts for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. My aim was to make the content eye-catching while clearly promoting the company’s products and special offers. I designed graphics that matched the updated brand identity so everything felt consistent and recognisable across platforms. These posts helped make customers more aware of current promotions, while also increasing the brand’s visibility and attracting new people to the business.
